Amazing Moments  -  Photoblog

Since travel in 2020 was nearly impossible due to COVID-19, I found myself reflecting on past journeys, searching for images that captured some of the most remarkable moments I’ve experienced. The photographs below may not all be technically great, but each one holds a powerful memory.

Iguazu Falls, Brazil
Iguazu Falls, Brazil

One of the largest waterfall systems in the world, Iguazu was unforgettable. Walking along the misty boardwalk, I was completely drenched, immersed in what felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. To protect my camera, I kept it in a plastic bag, pulling it out only briefly to capture a few quick shots.

Tijuca forest, Rio de Janeiro

After a long, open-air jeep ride into the mountainous Tijuca Forest, we reached an overlook with a breathtaking view. Taking in the vast city below, the distant Christ the Redeemer statue, and the surrounding tropical rainforest felt both exhilarating and overwhelming.

Standing at the rim of the Grand Canyon, I experienced the same sense of awe that has moved countless visitors before me.

Grand Prismatic Spring, Yellowstone

To capture this image, I climbed a steep sandy hill. The effort was well worth it—the view from the top felt almost surreal.

Driving back from Yellowstone at dusk, we came upon a large caravan of riders—around 65—moving alongside the highway. It was an incredible sight. I quickly captured a few images, and later printed one nearly six feet wide to hang in my studio. That moment still amazes me.

Grand Canal, Venice

Arriving in Venice by small boat many years ago, I felt a deep sense of excitement and gratitude. Entering the city’s iconic waterways was truly one of my most memorable experiences.

Standing before Rembrandt’s The Night Watch at the Rijksmuseum left a lasting impression. It was a powerful and unforgettable encounter with art.
